Individual Services and Support

counselling pageCounselling

Counselling enables you to explore various aspects of your life, to help you to understand your feelings, thoughts and behaviours in a free, confidential environment so you can move forward with your life.

Our qualified and experienced counsellors offer cognitive behavioural therapy, person-centred counselling and psychodynamic counselling to help you to deal with complex and difficult issues. Problems may include depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, bereavement, family and child protection issues and health or mental health issues.

Each counselling session lasts one hour. Individuals will receive a minimum of six to eight weeks counselling. However, the length of your counselling journey will strongly depend on your individual circumstances.

Counsellors adhere to British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) ethical guidelines and have enhanced CRB checks.

If you would like to become a member to refer to our counselling services, please contact us on 0191 454 6959 or email info@whist.org.uk
