One to one support for women at WHiST. A trained listening ear volunteer will listen to you, help you consider what you might need and give you information about services that you may decide could help. You can arrange to see a volunteer by contacting us. Appointments can last up to 30 minutes.
Living Well with Long Term Health Conditions
Group support for women living with Long-term Health Conditions. Fortnightly on Wednesday afternoon at 1.30pm to 3.00pm. A 1 hour structured session, sharing information and strategies to help you manage your health and followed by informal peer-led support.
WHiST Women’s Advocate supports women to priorities the issues they are dealing with and plan to tackle them, one to one. We work with a range of partner organisations to get the best support for women.
Counselling enables you to explore various aspects of your life, to help you to understand your feelings, thoughts and behaviors in a free, confidential environment so you can move forward with your life.
Our qualified and experienced counsellors offer cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centred counselling and psychodynamic counselling to help you to deal with complex and difficult issues. Problems may include depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, bereavement, family and child protection issues and health or mental health issues.
