Gardening – Thursdays 10am – 12pm for ten weeks. Some of the things covered are planting bulbs for spring/summer displays, making hanging baskets, germinating seeds. Making basic garden equipment e.g. paper plant pots and encouraging garden wildlife.
Introduction to reflexology – Friday 10am – 12pm for ten weeks. Learn practical skills and techniques, working the zones of the feet to create a relaxing treatment. Gain an awareness of health conditions that may restrict or prevent a treatment. Identify the benefits of a reflexology treatment such as relaxation, stress reduction and mood improvement.
English conversation – Wednesday 10am – 12pm for ten weeks. For women who are learning English as a second language. We discuss film, geography, and local knowledge to improve our everyday English. Come and practise with us in a small friendly group.
Building Confidence, Wellbeing and Self-Care: Monday 10am – 1pm. A 14 week course to help women build self-confidence and increase their emotional wellbeing and resilience. It is for women who want support, self-belief and coping skills so they can do something new. AT THE FIRST SESSION YOU WILL NEED TO BRING PHOTO ID IF YOU HAVE IT, OR A LETTER CONFIRMING YOU ARE A UK RESIDENT SUCH AS A LETTER ABOUT YOUR BENEFITS SO WE CAN ENROLYOU!
UK SMART RECOVERY – every Thursday 10am – 12pm.
Are compulsive or addictive behaviours causing you problems?
Do you think you are drinking too much? Is your drug use out of control?
Smart recovery runs mutual support meetings where through open and confidential discussion, we help ourselves and each other recover from any kind of addictive behaviour.
RE-MIND Tuesdays from 1pm – 3pm.
A group for anyone who struggles with memory loss. A volunteer led group with lots of activities to keep your mind active.
