One to one support for women at WHiST. A trained listening ear volunteer will listen to you, help you consider what you might need and give you information about services that you may decide could help. You can arrange to see a volunteer by contacting us. Appointments can last up to 30 minutes.
Living Well with Long Term Health Conditions
Group support for women living with Long-term Health Conditions. Fortnightly on Wednesday afternoon at 1.30pm to 3.00pm. A 1 hour structured session, sharing information and strategies to help you manage your health and followed by informal peer-led support. Ten week courses are also offered, contact WHiST for details.
Stop Smoking Service
Weekly one to one support, advice & information from a qualified NHS Smoking Cessation Advisor. You can receive FREE voucher(s) fortnightly for nicotine patches, gum, inhaler, nasal spray or micro dot. A Carbon Monoxide Reading will show your progress. The service runs on Wednesday mornings contact WHiST for an appointment.

Counselling enables you to explore various aspects of your life, to help you to understand your feelings, thoughts and behaviours in a free, confidential environment so you can move forward with your life.
Our qualified and experienced counsellors offer cognitive behavioural therapy, person-centred counselling and psychodynamic counselling to help you to deal with complex and difficult issues. Problems may include depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, bereavement, family and child protection issues and health or mental health issues.

Members can relax with one of our complementary therapies. Our team of highly qualified therapists offer treatments to alleviate the effects of stress, increase energy
levels, reduce aches and pains, improve confidence as well as improve mobility.

Members will be offered up to three sessions from our team of qualified volunteers who provide their time to help us to improve your health and wellbeing. Please note, therapies on offer can change according to availability and progression of our volunteers and there may be a waiting list.
